Funding The Kane County Health Department, in partnership with the Making Kane Fit for Kids Funders’ Consortium, is pleased to announce the availability of grant funding to support implementation of the Fit Kids 2020 Plan to reduce childhood obesity in Kane County.
The Consortium includes the United Way of Elgin, Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, Rush Copley Foundation, Kane County Health Department and Kane County Division of Transportation. This group guides the Making Kane County Fit for Kids campaign, which includes the community process that led to the development and implementation of the Fit Kids 2020 Plan. Grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to community organizations to make significant impacts in their community.
Applications are due by 4:30pm on Friday, February 27, 2015.
